This is one of my fave looks ever!! I have been holding out on this post for a while because my make up products have been all over the place and I could not find the document where I wrote down everything I used for this look, until today when I was cleaning out my desk, woho! I got a lot of inspiration from MakeUp By Mario aka Mario Dedivanovic (Kim Kardashian favorite make up artist) while creating this look.
I wanted to use products with a lot of shimmer (not glitter!) and colours like warm peach, baby pink and copper bronze. I also wanted to make it look really soft and natural, hence I skipped eyeliner completely!
In a world where instagram is full of close up photos of harsh eyeliners and winged liners to the brows (seriously stop it already haha!) I wanted to go the opposite way.
To pull of this look a little bit of a tan is necessary, you don’t have to get a heavy spraytan or anything like that. The night before just apply one coat of self tanning and use the Bare Minerals self tanning for face before you go to bed and the next day you will wake up to a fresh glow and perfect this summery look.
Obs, in the first photo I had not applied all the highlighter that I used, especially around the eye brows. So the photos below are after I have applied all the highlighter…
Foundation - IDUN Minerals in color Sand and Freja
Concealer under the eyes - MAC pro longwear concealer in NC20
Concealer on the face - BareMinerals BareSkin complete coverage concealer in light (love this one!)
Bronzer – L’oréal Glam bronze Cushion De Soleil (omg I live for this product!!)
Highlighter – Around the eyebrows I used the liqid highlighting wand from Smashbox and on the cheekbones I actually used one of the eye shadows I used, the sephora eyeshadow number 218. It gives an amazing pink shimmery glow and is much more pigmented than normal highlighting powders. That I never though about that before! Using eyeshadows as highlighters…
All applied with a Real Techniques beauty blender. I use one for concealer, one for foundation and one for bronzing.
Eyeshadows – Sephora single shadow in baby pink/nude number 218, Bare Minerals The big debut palette using only the pink shade called “future” for that extra shimmery glow under the eye brows! The brown color in the crease of the eye is from the Smashbox palette Full Exposure colours number S1 and S5.
Mascara – Victoria Secret Volume mascara
Lashes – Eylure individual false lashes in length short and medium
Lip liner - Maybelline color drama in nude perfection
Lip gloss – Kylie Cosmetics “literally” gloss
Highlighter - I used the Smashbox contouring pens to highlighter and accentuate my lips. I used the light one on top of my lips before applying lip liner, gently dabbing it out with a moist beauty blender. Just draw a line over your cupids bow to blur out the line between your own lip line and your skin. Then overdraw your lips just a tiny, tiny bit. I like to apply lip liner in the area where the lip colours fades out but not more than that!
I used the darker contouring pen and drew a line underneath by bottom lip and blended it out, to create a shadow underneath my bottom lip making it appear more voluminous than it actually is.
I promise to show these tricks in a video very soon.
