I do consider base products the most important part of ones make up. If you have the wrong foundation for your skin type or wrong color for you skin tone the whole make up just looks off… And we all know we want it to look on fleek (sorry couldnt help myself writing that haha!) and with a perfect finish.
A have gotten A LOT of questions over the past few months both here on the blog in the comments but also emails asking about how I get my skin to look so good. And it is all about the right products, a good moisturizer to start off with and using the correct pigments for the different parts of the face. Okay so pigmented concealer, is that really important? EH YEAH!
Underneath the eyes I am currently obsessed with Mac Pro Longer Wear Concealer. This my friends, is the product you need to use when you been partying for several days in a row or haven’t been sleeping as you should. Because it will most likely cover up any signs of dark circles! I double or triple use this with a beauty blender for the super effect.
I need to stress that this product only works well with beauty blenders, do not apply this concealer with a concealer brush as the results will not be as good nor natural.
From the left to right;
My fav eye cream from Dermalogica. This works perfect to use underneath your under eye concealer as protecting base. This product also work as a anti age eyecream and it is unisex.
Sensai Base stick, I use this where I have fine lines to make them less noticeable but it works as a all around primer!
Max Factor CC Colour corrector stick, this covers up any blemish or red spots. I am not sure if this is available in Sweden however, I bought it at Boots. You just gentle dab a coat on the blemish or perhaps a birthmark you want to cover up, wait one minute, then dab on another layer, let it dry and then gently apply your foundation with a foundation brush.
Make up forever Full cover concealer I like to use to contour my eyebrows!
Sensai Fluid finish is one of my all time favorite foundations, it is so moist and gives a nice glow.
My new favorite foundation, the Rolls Royce of foundation, Sensai cellular performance foundation. This gives a lot of cover without making the skin to matte or dry.
I love the Lily Lolo Eye Primer, it works as a eyeshadow and concealer primer. I use it seriously every time I apply make up and it makes the eye make up last sooo much longer.
The white products underneath the Sensai Foundation yar is cream bronzer from UNE. I just realized they basically don’t sell these anymore in Sweden, I have looked everywhere (???). Such a shame because those were my favorite for bronzing and contouring.
Duwop all around use highlighter creams. Let’s not forget the No7 by boots, instant illusion cream. This is a cream/primer that works to fill in and hide fine lines, perfect for between the eyebrows, along the mouth or perhaps over the fore head. Just make sure it dries for a few minutes before applying your foundation. This is a great tip for all the doll over 25 here on the blog. I mean a lot of us have surely started to get those dry lines appearing after a few hours of wearing bad foundation or mineral powder which makes us look WAY older than we really are. And that’s not fun! So use this type of products for a base, never ever use a powder foundation and instead opt for moisturizing creamy foundations and you will keep your youthful (just turned 18 ) glow.
