As I was scrolling through my old blog post I stumbled upon this on from mid july 2015. It was a fantastic time in London, I had just leased a new flat and compared to the Swedish the summer, the weather was absolutley amazing. So here is a reblog/throwback of my old post, if you like macarons and are visiting London don’t miss this place!
13 Lowndes St, London SW1X 9EX
Earlier this week I was walking around in Knightsbridge and decided to pay the Pierre Hermé macaron store a visit. The man that worked in the store said that the selection of macarons was less the day we visited the store than it usually is. So it was not the kind of selection as they have in Paris. I remember when I was in Paris and I thought Pierre Hermés macarons were the best I had ever tried, even better than Ladurée! I only had the salted caramel this time and unfortunately it was not good at all, it tasted burnt and left a bad taste afterwards. But my mother had some other flavours and said they were much nicer. But if I would have to compare the two different brands today, I would say Ladurée macarons are nicer.
The area where the store is located is so lovely, one of my favourite parts of London so I do recommend a visit to the area. Motcomb street just next to the shop have lots of lovely little shops and cafés.
Talking about a very serious subject, macarons
