Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend so far ♥
You know what I realized these last few weeks, being home and thinking a lot, is that some people never grow. They just stay at the same mental mind state and focus in life for years and years, and then they treat others like they are the same. It’s like these people are stuck in the past and don’t realize other people develop, mature and grow.
When I look back on my own development I can say I’m nowhere near the same person I was 8-10 years ago, not because I was a bad person back then at all, not at all, but because my mindset and personal developtment has been huge. Things that also changed is how I spend my time and the things I enjoy doing, also my life is totally different. So I knew someone 2-3 years ago I can say they don’t know me now. I don’t share much about myself here in my blog, it’s mainly about beauty/glam,/inspo after all, but when I read blogs which are written by people I use to socialize with or that I personally met, I realize their blogs are exactly the same as they were 5-10 years ago and they seem to be exactly the same. When I moved back from London I got this shock feeling of that time had stood still. I had been away for years, I had matured and develop in so many ways, yet everything here felt the same.
How I really know I have changed is that things that use to bother me in the past, don’t even cross my mind today.
To give an example on of the areas in which I’ve changed, first off is partying. I use to love to party and go out for drinks with me friends, I still do think this could be fun but nowadays I might visit a nightclub once or twice a year, 5-8 years ago it use to be more like 1-2 a week.
The next thing is that I’m extremely interested in health, how to heal yourself from within with the right foods and how to keep your body calm, get the body to the optimal Ph level (around 7.3) and detox from all toxics. The power in what we eat and live is bigger than one could ever imagine. The past 2 years I spent so much time trying to learn more about this to be more aware of how one can heal. I’m planning on writing much more about health and tips and trick from now on :))
On another note, I was so excited for spring (like the rest of Sweden) as I mentioned in my other post, and then last night it started snowing haha! I guess I had to put my spring outfits on hold for another week or two…
One of my goals is to one day have a vanity set up. I have imagined just how I want it to look and this would be the perfect place for me to do my make up work!
I just love those aryclic plastic organizer, like the ones Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian have from Cosmo Cube. I remember seeing the episode where you could see there organizers and I thought it looked so neat!
Also I love this post on how this girl did her vanity, so cute!
The problem for me however is that I want to see my make up clearly, at least the products that I use. I have different sections for unopened products and products I’m currently using, so I rather have my products on shelf’s or in a big organizer than just in a drawer like I have now! I would also love the desk to be in white marble, that would look so amazing.
A make up vanity is not really have difficult to put together, it is more the lack of space that usually gets in the way of creating your dream vanity. At least that’s been the main issues for me! Living in different countries and moving around a lot has definitely made it hard to decorate a place that feels like your own.
What you need to create a vanity
– A desk that is not too deep, you don’t want the mirror on the wall to be too far away from you so you can’t see properly
– Light bulbs around the mirror or preferably a led light, alternatively a ring light. You can find those on ebay!
– A comfy chair that matches the desk (of course!)
– Cute organizers in plastic or marble
